The Prakash Purab of Pehli Patshahi, Sahib Sri Guru Nanak Dev Ji, was observed with devotion through a week-long series of events, including PrabhatPheris, Nagar Kirtan, and the Bhog of Sri Sehaj Path. The Sangat of Baru Sahib, including students of Akal Academy and Eternal University, along with teaching and non-teaching staff and devotees, participated with deep love and reverence.

On the sacred occasion of the 556th Prakash Purab of the Founder of Sikhism, DhanDhan Sri Guru Nanak Dev Ji Maharaj, a Nagar Kirtan commenced from Baru Sahib, continuing the long-standing tradition of devotion and unity.
The Sangat of Baru Sahib, including students of Akal Academy and Eternal University, along with teaching, non-teaching staff and devotees, participated with deep love and reverence, singing Shabads in remembrance of Guru Nanak Dev Ji.
Upholding the age-old tradition, the motorlessPalki Sahib of Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji was respectfully pulled by the devotees, a beautiful reminder of Guru Nanak Dev Ji’s timeless teaching of humility, selfless service and hard work while staying spiritually grounded.
Originating during the time of Sri Guru Hargobind Sahib Ji, Gatka was developed to prepare Sikhs to protect themselves and the oppressed against tyranny.
This Foundation Day, like every year, students (both boys and girls) of Akal Academy Baru Sahib showcased this revered Sikh martial tradition, which instills mental strength, discipline and courage, empowering them to face challenges with resilience and self-control, while honouring the rich heritage and legacy of Sikhism.
80 girls from Grades 6–12 of Akal Academy Baru Sahib showcased the true spirit of strength, discipline, and courage through a spectacular martial arts performance during the 39th Foundation Day.
Along with academics, our students are trained in self-defence and multiple martial art forms, including Boxing, Karate, Judo, Taekwondo and Mal Akhada, preparing them to face any challenge with confidence and composure.
Their rigorous training routine includes daily fitness challenges — 100 push-ups, 300 squats, 1000 jumps, 100 pull-ups, 20kg Gada (200 reps), Mudgar (200 reps) and more, fostering holistic development through value-based education.
Akal College of Nursing at Eternal University, Baru Sahib has reached a major milestone with the launch of its Ph.D. in Nursing programme.
It is now the first and only nursing college in Himachal Pradesh approved by the Indian Nursing Council (INC) to offer a doctoral programme in Nursing.
